It is reported that in February 1976, the X-ray and radio emission from Cyg X-1 underwent a simultaneous transition, similar to that observed in March 1971 when the source was first detected at radio frequencies. On February 13, the Cyg X-1 radio source was at a low level. Between February 13 and March 6, its intensity rose sharply, peaked, and apparently leveled out close to its usual value. Also as in 1971, the dramatic increase in radio intensity was accompanied by a decrease in X-ray intensity by about the same factor.
