An analysis is made of the anisotropy in the scattering angle of radiation from a distant radio source passing through interplanetary plasma with magneto-acoustic turbulence. Comparison of theory and experiment shows that the observed scattering anisotropy agrees very well with the magneto-acoustic turbulence model. At distances R = 20-30 solar radii from the sun the magnetic field is nearly radial. In the zone R less than 10 solar radii either the radial field is replaced by an azimuthal field, or there is an additional isotropic turbulence which is absent at R greater than 20 solar radii.
