Statistical calculations were performed to determine the dependencies of the angular momentum of spiral galaxies on their total mass, H II mass, rotational velocity and corrected overall color. The data examined were taken from H I surveys of nearly 700 galaxies studied in three different surveys. All data supported a 5/3 mass power law for the angular momentum, although larger exponents are found for later Sb galaxies. Expanding the study to cover more than 800 objects including asteroids, planets, main sequence stars, star clusters and clusters of galaxies permitted derivation of a simple model for the angular momentum as a function of 5 x 10 to the -16th times the mass raised to the 1.99 power. However, no simple angular momentum-mass relationship could be discerned that would completely account for the rotation of a celestial object. The study did show that galaxies with higher gas contents possess higher angular momentum, and that of galaxies with the same gas content, those which are redder have a higher angular momentum. Finally, a pseudo-angular momentum -integrated color index relationship was discovered.
