History Of Astronomy: Star Positions
Scientific paper
There was a complete equatorial coordinate system on the sky in ancient China. It was expressed by polar distances and differences of right ascensions of stars. But for moving celestial bodies, positions were usually described by their relations to stars rather than the equatorial coordinates. In this paper, through statistics and analyses, the methods are described, with which the positions of eclipses, the moon, planet, "new stars", comets, meteors were recorded.
