Guanzhong, in the center of Shaanxi province, was one of the birthplaces of the Chinese nation and many dynasties set their capitals here before 900 AD. As a practical and mysterious science, astronomy was firmly monopolized by the emperors, therefore few remains on astronomy can be seen today. The authors collected relevant relics and ruins including water clock, sundials, mural star maps, tombs of astronomers, astronomical records on stones. Many of them can be seen in local museums or public areas.
