Several different versions of analytical models describing nongravitational effects in equations of the orbital motion of comets are proposed which are based on the representation of comets by a variable-mass point. The dynamic behavior of a point in orbit is described by the classical Meshcherskii equation for the case of mass loss, with and without allowance for the corresponding reactive forces. The models of nongravitational effects proposed here, including a hypothetic parachute effect, are formulated in the form of separate problems which can be solved numerically or analytically by using methods of variable-mass body dynamics.
