The analytical continuation of the external gravity potential of a celestial body of arbitrary layered structure is shown to be possible for a definite finite depth, which depends on the dispersion characteristics of the surface and the density of the body. It is concluded that the solution obtained here can be used to determine the gravity potential inside celestial bodies of complex layered structure if the following parameters are known from observations: the external potential, the shapes of boundaries between layers, and the distribution of masses lying only along the radius above the point investigated.
