An analytical model for an infrared telescope is described. The model gives not only the prescription and the third-order aberrations but also the influence of tilts and decenters of the secondary ont he first- and third-order properties of the system as a function of the input parameters. Predictions obtained with this model are compared with the results of real ray tracing.
