In this paper, an analytic method is introduced to determine the pole of a cluster of galaxies. The method depends on a constrained optimization technique. A general computational algorithm for the procedure was established to find exact solutions for the equations involved. A typical application of this process to the Coma Cluster is also presented. Excellent agreement is found between the result of the present method and an empirical method which has been recently developed. This provides strong evidence of the reliability of the methods.
