Statistical turbulence analysis is applied to Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) system. Using a new H I survey, the turbulent properties of the LMC are examined in terms of two-point-autocorrelation and sructure functions (ACF and STR, respectively). The basic length scales of the turbulent velocity field are extracted by means of radial cuts through the two-dimensional autocorrelation and structure maps. The real turbulence is visible in the difference field as a correlation plateau in the center of the ACF maps. The microscales of turbulence range from 300 pc to 400 pc, the integral scales being about 500 pc. Star forming activity and the velocity structure of the supergiant shells are correlated with these scales. The error and bias of the ACF and STR are discussed taking into account projection smearing, instrumental noise, and the bias of the estimates. The results are shown to be trustworthy to better than 15 percent.
