Estimation and measurement of image quality of imaging sensors is an important step for design and development of all systems, which exploited image sensors. These systems are in the first place ex- pensive satellites and extensive ground-based exper- iments working in visible and other (IR, UV, RGB) bands, like BOOTES (Integral ground-based exper- iment, Al Arenosilo, Spain) or BART (Ondrejov, Czech Republic). This estimation is important for estimation of the real detection limits of experiments. In this work will be described a package of algorithms for the simulation and measurement of optical trans- fer characteristics (Optical Transfer Function, Mod- ulation Transfer Function and Point Spread Function of course) of imaging sensors. Algorithms have been tested on image data from the BOOTES experiment and it is prepared their utilization for BOOTES-IR and Lobster Eye detector on Xeos satellite. Key words: CCD camera; BOOTES; BART; transfer characteristics; MTF; Matlab.
