Infrared Telescopes: Errors
Scientific paper
This article expounds some main errors of the 1.26 m infrared telescope of the Beijing Astronomical Observatory after its installation and tries to separate each of them (2m displaying error, 4m17s short-period as well as long-period tracking errors, etc.) by harmonic analysis. Then the authors discuss the main factors causing them, calculate their theoretical values and compare these with the practical measurements, analyze the effects of the errors on the precision of the telescope and introduce methods to eliminate the errors and their performance.
