The relation between galaxy characteristics and galaxy mass is studied by examining the properties of 213 galaxies (175 radio galaxies and 38 optical galaxies). The angular momenta of 183 galaxies were calculated and are found to be proportional to M to the 1.66 power. E type galaxies are shown to have the greatest range in mass. Differences between high-mass and low-mass galaxies are described. Over the range of S subtypes, M, J, the angular momentum density, and the centrifugal force per unit mass at the mean radius increase to a maximum for Sb and then decrease.
