Large scale structure in the distribution of galaxies is investigated by analyzing samples taken from a complete redshift survey in five pencil-beam fields and a sparse redshift survey in nine pencil-beam fields. Fractal dimension in the distributions are calculated by a revised method. The results show that distribution of galaxies in these samples do have typical scale which is about 3-4.5/h Mpc. It is consistent with that obtained by Shanks et al.
