Cosmology-Large Scale Structure-Galaxies
Scientific paper
Large scale structure in the distribution of galaxies is investigated by analyzing samples taken from a complete redshift survey in 5 pencil-beam fields and a sparse redshift survey in 9 pencil-beam fields. Fractal dimension in the distributions are calculated by a revised method. The results show that distribution of galaxies in these samples do have typical scale which is about 3-4.5 h-1 Mpc. It is consistent with that obtained by Shanks et al.
