Methods Of Reduction: Astrolabe Observations

Scientific paper

On the basis of the data observed with the photoelectric astrolabe Mark II (PA II) of Beijing Astronomical Observatory in San Juan of Argentina from Feb. 23, 1992 to Oct. 11, 1993, residuals of 4160 stars are reduced according to about 115000 observations of stars. The mean precision of the residuals is ±0″047. The relation between the residuals V and the magnitude M and the spectral type S of stars are analysed. The limiting magnitude of stars observed is about 11.5 mag. The declinations are from -2°5 to -60°0.
