Based on observations made for the radio stars program at the Valinhos Automated Meridian Circle (CMAV-IAG/USP), the present adherence of the Tycho2 catalogue to the Hipparcos system is discussed. The results show them well aligned on declination and a 40mas right ascension misalignment. It also appears an indication of a 15mas right ascension decoupling between the frames formed by the subsets of bright and faint Tycho2 stars.
