The compilation and use of a meteor data file held on a microcomputer system are discussed. The file contains details of 1894 meteor streams and 4431 photographic meteors. Identical streams have been identified, and investigation has been carried out into the relationships between meteor streams and comets or minor planets. The statistics of meteor orbits and of photographic streams have been examined and interesting results are presented for the Taurids, the Perseids and the Geminids.
