Since the magnetic field configuration and its evolution are responsible for the solar activities, the stability and complexity of magnetic structures in the flaring active regions play a significant role in the energy storage and release in solar flares. In addition, the conjugate footpoints of newly reconnected magnetic fields often have different hard X-ray (HXR) emissions. In this study, the RHESSI large flares during 2002-2010 with asymmetric HXR footpoints near the solar disk center are analyzed. The relationship between the ratios of HXR flux and magnetic field strength qualitatively shows that the asymmetric magnetic mirroring could not be the dominated effect in HXR footpoint asymmetry. Moreover, some photospheric magnetic field quantities are estimated from the MDI and vector magnetograms to characterize the associated non-potentiality of the flaring active regions. The spatial correlation between the distribution of magnetic non-potentiality and the HXR kernels will also be discussed.
