Low resolution IUE SWP and LWR images of Comet Austin covering three weeks pre-perihelion and one post-perihelion are discussed. The OH(1-0) band intensities agree with theoretical calculations relative to the (0-0) band, but observed (1-1) intensities tend to be higher. Scans within the LWR slit augmented by SAP allow determination of OH-parent scale lengths at 34,000 km, significantly shorter than used for H2O. Rederived source strengths, lower by a factor 2 when this shorter scale is used, still increase steeply pre-perihelion (index around -3.6 at 0.9AU) comparable to comet Bradfield 1979X, and drop off more sharply by 1.5AU post-perihelion, implying a nucleus composition much less volatile than H2O ice.
