An analysis of three high-latitude blue stars, JL6, CD-43 deg 14300, and CD-40 deg 14167 El, is presented. It is shown that CD-40 deg 14167 El is a hot sdOB subdwarf, and that CD-43 deg 14300 is helium rich, with a n(He)/n(H) ratio of about 0.4. Distances from the galactic plane of about 4 kpc for CD-43 deg 14300 and about 6 kpc for JL6 are found. A possible source of error in the V sin i values of helium-rich stars is discussed.
