An analysis of H-alpha observations of relatively long-lived, high-altitude coronal condensations referred to as "coronal spiders" is presented. Dimensions of the condensation are typically in the range 10,000km to 50,000km, and the condensation occurs up to approximately a tenth of a solar radius above the limb. Simple analytical methods yield an estimate of the mass of the condensation for reasonable ranges of temperature and electron density. Conditions under which coronal spiders form, as well as the evolution of the structure, are also studied.
