This paper presents the results of a test of four types of constructions of large silicon carbide mirrors. The tests were performed using a method that makes it possible to characterize the stiffness of the mirror by the magnitude of the elastic deformation at the center of the operating surface due to the action of a uniformly distributed load under certain clamping conditions. The honeycomb (to reduce weight) construction of the mirror, covered by a plate on the rear side, makes it possible to increase the stiffness by a factor of 1.9 compared with a monolithic mirror of the same mass.
