A line-by-line, layer-by-layer method is described for the analysis of
infrared atmospheric spectra in terms of atmospheric trace constituents.
The method covers spectra obtained at both small and large zenith
angles. For the latter, a detailed consideration of the air mass along
the ray is discussed.
