Analogies in the structure of the chromosphere and corona are presented. Like the outer corona consisting of radial systems, the upper chromosphere is characterized by the predominance of elongated quasi-vertical formations (spicules). In the lower chromosphere, horizontal elements are observed for the most part; these are probably associated with loop structures similar to those of the inner corona. The boundary between the upper and lower chromosphere passes at a height of about 1500 km above the solar surface.
