Results of an X-ray optical study of 26 Abell clusters are presented. Einstein IPC images of clusters, taken from our complete sample of 107 clusters with richness 1 or greater and with redshift less than or equal to 0.1, to measure X-ray position angles are used. It is shown that X-ray position angles are in good agreement with those taken from a concurrent study by McMillan et al. A very good agreement between the centroid of the X-ray emission and the position of the first ranked galaxy is found. A good correlation between the cluster position angle measured using X-rays, the cluster orientation derived from the galaxy distribution and orientation of the first ranked galaxy are observed.
