A few metal-poor dwarfs have been observed at the CFH telescope. Their spectra do not show the deuterium absorption line. The upper limit of the possible abundance of deuterium is ND/NH = 10-5, significantly lower than the abundance expected from the hot Big Bang. The deuterium has probably been completely destroyed because of convection in these stars.
