Seismic disturbances induced by cosmic gravitational radiation are considered. A model with a spherically symmetric, homogeneous, isotropic Earth and a four-channel adaptive seismic antenna array on its surface is used for calculations in the frequency range 0.01-0.1 Hz. An integral estimate of the upper limit to the intensity of gravitational wave bursts h(up) = (1.0 +/- 0.1) x 10 exp -14 in terms of the dimensionless amplitude of spatial metric variations is obtained using digital seismic data obtained over a six-month time interval. An equivalent recalculation of h(up) in terms of the spectral intensity of the gravitational wave radiation flux density Ig gives a majorizing estimate for the upper limit of Ig less than 1.6 x 10 exp 8 erg/s sq cm Hz.
