A paleomagnetic study of continental deposits (limestones, sandstones) from the Upper Cretaceous basin of Aix-en-Provence (Campanian to Danian) (43.5°N, 5.5°E) gives a mean paleomagnetic direction of: D = 9.5°, I = 46.8°, N = 10, k = 33, α95 = 8.3° and a mean pole: 73°N, 156°E, N = 10, K = 24, A95 = 10°. The fold test is positive, as is the reversal test. This pole is not significantly different from other Cretaceous or lower Tertiary poles from stable Europe.
