An ultra high vacuum system which is fully made of homemade material and devices was developed and applied to the magnetic optical trap experiment in March, 1996. Using this vacuum system, ultra cold cesium atoms were found and trapped in China for the first time in a magnetic optical trap at the ultimate vacuum below 6×10-8Pa (or below 5×10-10Torr). The system proves very useful and reliable. In addition, the system creates a favorable condition for the experiments of atom fountain.
