We present an overview of the Chandra ACIS Survey of M33 (ChASeM33): A Deep Survey of the Nearest Face-on Spiral Galaxy. The 1.4 Ms survey covers the galaxy out to a radius of approximately 18 arcmin( 4kpc). These data provide the most complete, detailed look at a spiral galaxy in X-rays. The first source catalog from this survey includes 394 sources to a limiting luminosity of 1.6 e35 ergs/s (0.35-8.0 keV), with 23 of the sources showing evidence of extent beyond the Chandra PSF. The ChASeM33 data revealed the first eclipsing black hole high-mass X-ray binary (M33 X-7), which has been shown to have a mass of 15.65 +/- 1.45 Mdot for the black hole (Orosz et al. 2007, Nature, 449, 872) and has detected a second eclipsing XRB. A variability analysis has identified 6 new transient sources and one previously-known transient. The ChASeM33 data have provided the most detailed view in X-rays of the giant HII regions NGC 604 and IC 131. A cross-correlation of the ChASeM33 sources against optical and radio catalogs of supernova remnants (SNRs) shows 28 ChASeM33 sources within 10 arcsec of a SNR, bringing the total number of such associations to 31 out of 100 known SNRs in M33. The X-ray spectra of one these of SNRs exhibits strong lines of O, Ne, and Mg, making it the first O-rich SNR to be identified in M33. A preliminary analysis of the truly diffuse emission indicates that at least two components with temperatures of kT=0.25 keV and kT=0.75 keV are required, with the lower temperature component dominating. We discuss our plans for the creation of the final source catalog and future analyses.
