In May 1992, the Mira X Oph underwent an eruption in the 1665MHz main
line. This eruption lasted for about one and a half years. Here are
reported the nature and the evolution of this event. The similarities
with the flare observed in 1974 for U Ori in the 1612MHz satellite line
are discussed.
