Using the observational data about the regularities of motion of four filaments related to two-ribbon flares before and after the beginning of the impulsive phase, the author has solved the momentum equation and the energy equation of evolution and movement of filament currents in terms of the Kuperus-Raadu prominence (filament) model, and obtained the curves of changes of the current intensity and total energy of filament currents with time before and after the beginning of the impulsive phase. He finds that the beginning moments of the impulsive phase of four flares all agree with the maximum moments of the filament energy. Moreover, it is also found that the importance of X-ray flares is nearly proportional to the rate of increase of filament energy before the occurrence of flares. These results reveal the intrinsic relation between the flare eruption and the evolution of filament currents: the explosion of filaments causes the appearance of the flares, and the energy of the flares is supplied by filament currents. This provides a strong observational evidence for the flare model related to filament currents.
