An iterative procedure is proposed to solve inverse-scattering problems completely for radiative transfer in a scattering medium bounded by transparent plates. Several numerical simulations have been performed to examine the adequacy of the proposed method. The procedure is stable, even for rather noisy input data, but the accuracy of inverted results deteriorates with increasing magnitude of random errors involved in the input data. However, acceptable results can be obtained as long as the noise level of the input data is of the same degree as that observed in actual light-scattering experiments.
