I report on the measurements of some well known and also neglected optical double stars. From measurements listed in the WDS catalog the relative proper motion were calculated and compared with Hipparcos or WDS data. Two historical measurements of STF1424AC (Algieba/AD Leo) which not listed in the WDS catalog are introduced. The quality of these measurements will be pointed out.
