Analysis of the light curves for the irregular variable star V 351 Ori has shown that a decrease in brightness of 2 mag in violet is the main source of the star's variability. The decrease in brightness in violet was accompanied by an initial reddening, and by 'blueing' when brightness decreased to a minimum. On the basis of the color-magnitude analysis, the optical properties of matter around the star were obtained. It is shown that the optical properties of circumstellar matter around V 351 Ori are similar to the optical properties of matter in the interstellar region in the BVR bands. Circumstellar dust absorption in the ultraviolet range was larger than in the case of interstellar matter. The amount of matter absorbed in the circumstellar regions was found to vary directly with wavelength according to a power law index of -1.4. Distance measurements confirmed the identification of V 351 Ori as a member of the Ori T-3 association.
