We present an inventory of interstellar absorption features in the mid-infrared spectrum (lambda =2.4-30 micron) of the deeply embedded protostar W33 A. The data were collected using the Infrared Space Observatory's Short Wavelength Spectrometer (ISO-SWS). This object is an excellent source by which to study processing in a protostellar environment. In the line of site to W33 A, we see both cold molecular cloud and warm gas and dust. We present absorption features and corresponding column densities. In particular, we address the discrepency in H_20 column density as derived from the 3.1 and 6.0 mu m water-ice features.
