A new interpretation of the observed periods in AC Andromedae as the first three radial over-tones is investigated. It is shown that this mode identification agrees well with a stellar model of about 0.5 solar masses belonging to the suprahorizontal branch. In this picture AC Andromedae is a c-type RR Lyrae variable. Further observational tests of this possibility are considered.
