Scientific paper

The infrared emission behavior of the S140, S141 and S142 H II region-molecular cloud complexes is examined through the IRAS Sky Survey Atlases. The IRAF and Skyview software are used, and the contours of the infrared intensity, color temperature and optical depths of each source are presented. The total infrared luminosity and the distribution of dust in the complexes are also shown. The dense areas within the molecular clouds, where star formation is probably going on, are concentrated. The exciting star of the S141 region is also analyzed.
