Using a new observing mode on IMACS/Magellan, we propose to obtain 6000 low-resolution spectra in the A901/902 supercluster to study the effects of environment on galaxy evolution. The 0.5x0.5 degree field has extensive multi-wavelength coverage, including 80 orbits of ACS/HST and 39 hours of deep Spitzer data. The survey we propose here would open a window on supercluster dwarf galaxies down to M_V=-14: precisely the galaxies most likely to be affected by external environmental processes, but also the ones for which photometric redshifts are of limited use. The ability to assign secure spectroscopically-derived cluster memberships in this regime would allow us to measure the environmental dependence of dust-obscured star formation and morphology to depths comparable to those reached locally in Coma, but in a complex, gas-rich structure at intermediate redshift. The wide field-of-view and efficiency of IMACS in multislit+prism mode are such that in only two nights we could obtain redshifts for 6000 objects to R=23.6. This modest investment of NOAO time would leverage a significant science return from a field already observed by HST, COMBO- 17, Spitzer, XMM, GALEX, and GMRT.
