A new design for an X-ray telescope is proposed: in a triaxial stabilization regime a point source can be imaged such that the full width at half maximum is much smaller than the instrumental field of view. The method suggested utilizes the beats resulting from the superposition of two periodic structures with slightly different periods; this effect causes angles to be amplified. A computer simulation of an X-ray burst is described.
