Scientific paper

The authors present Synthetic Horizontal Branches, computed with
chemical compositions appropriate for Population II systems, for various
assumptions on the mass size of the He-core and assuming a cluster age
in the range of 10 - 15 billion years. Selected data leading to general
constraints for RR Lyrae variables are briefly discussed.
