An apparatus is described for producing polarized ultra-cold neutrons, flipping the ultra-cold neutron spins, and monitoring the polarization evolution of the ultra-cold neutrons. Preliminary results on the storage of polarized ultra-cold neutrons and the construction and performance of the spin-flipper will be presented. The storage, polarization and flipping techniques developed in this work will be used in studies of the beta-asymmetry in the decay of polarized ultra-cold neutrons.
