Using S2/68 data from the ESRO TD-1 satellite, the ultraviolet extinction of the WC7 star HD 156385 is shown to exhibit a pronounced excess in the 2200 A absorption band. This is the second WR star, out of a sample of nine, found to be anomalous in this way, the former being the WN6 star HD 192163 which is surrounded by the nebulosity NGC 6888 (Willis and Wilson, 1975). In the present case, however, no nebulosity associated with the star is detectable on an ESO sky survey print. Because of their similarity to the WR stars, a survey of the ultraviolet data for 23 Of stars was carried out but no extinction anomalies were found.
