It is found that a spatially-homogeneous anisotropic-cosmological model in the scalar-tensor theory of Sen and Dunn (1971) is obtained when the source of the gravitational field is a perfect fluid with pressure equal to energy density and when the metric is of Bianchi type-I. Properties of the model, such as the anisotropic expansion of the universe, are discussed. It is noted that when p1 = 0, the model reduces to the general relativity case with the scalar field phi = 0.
