The application of some empirical atmospheric density models in orbital mechanics in a real-world environment has been examined. The emphasis is on the accuracy and efficiency associated with orbit determination, orbit predictions and lifetime estimations using observed data. A precision special perturbations program and a semianalytic theory were used to generate the analysis. Numerical results and general findings are included.
