Scientific paper

Blue nuclear magnitudes of Tifft's (1973) sample of Coma galaxies were
measured photographically. A redshift-magnitude diagram shows the band
structure. A statistical analysis confirms quantitatively the
significance of the bands. Implications are briefly discussed.
