A preliminary analysis of the physical parameters for bright bolides has been carried out for the material of the Prairie Network Catalog. Chondrite-type cosmic bodies are destroyed in the earth's atmosphere at significantly lower values of the heat-transfer coefficient than other types of bodies. To describe them, the development of a bolide model with a two-phase layer of ablation products and which allows for a convective component of heat transfer to the body are required. Upon entry into the earth's atmosphere, other cosmic bodies produce bolides which can be satisfactorily described in the framework of a model with a transparent layer of vapors. These bodies can experience intense fragmentation in the atmosphere.
