The authors have analyzed the spectrum of the Ap-star HD 78316 (HR 3623) with the help of fully line-blanketed model atmospheres. The abundances of 15 elements of the atmosphere were derived from tracings of high-resolution spectra (DAO plates, 2.41 Å mm-1), covering the wavelength range from 3840 Å to 4620 Å. Deriving the abundances the authors used the synthesis method as well as the curve of growth method. Some parts of the observed spectrum were fitted with the synthesized spectrum including a rotational speed of 6 km s-1 and an instrumental profile of 0.12 Å. It was not necessary to introduce a microturbulent velocity of more than 1 km s-1.
