Kopal's (1979) method and the optimization technique (Budding and Najim, 1980) are used to analyze the light curves of the binaries AB And, FG Hyd, UZ Leo, and RR Cen, and new sets of geometrical and physical elements have been derived. Results indicate that stars are bluer for decreasing mass ratios, that the two components of the four binaries fill their Roch lobes, and that these systems satisfy Kopal's (1959) criterion for compact binaries. The high degree of over contact of these systems suggests that they may be substantially evolved. The asymmetrical maxima in the light curves may be due to gas-streaming between the two components.
